Following on from our popular 2016 forum on Initial Teacher Training (ITT), we will now take on the issue of recruitment and the retention of teachers, which continues to be a key challenge facing schools across the country today.
In the aftermath of the Education Committee’s inquiry into the Supply of teachers in 2015, the Committee published a pertinent report specifically on the theme of recruitment and retention of teachers in February 2017. We dwell deeper into its practical implications and the pathways that lie ahead, from a variety of expert voices in the field, whether it be at the initial stages of training though to recruiting and retaining teachers.
